Abstract

A vehicle headlamp apparatus includes: a first high beam unit capable of formation of a first high beam light distribution pattern and road surface drawing in a first irradiation range (34); and a second high beam unit capable of formation of a second high beam light distribution pattern in a second irradiation range (36). The first irradiation range (34) is displaced downward with respect to the second irradiation range (36) to include an overlapping area (38) in which the first irradiation range (34) and the second irradiation range (36) overlap and a lower area (40) below the overlapping area (38) and outside the second irradiation range (38), and the first high beam unit forms a road surface drawing pattern (46) in the lower area (40).
