Abstract

A motor vehicle (1) comprises a body (2) with a plurality of cockpit walls (3) defining a cockpit (4) to accommodate a driver, a wall unit comprising one or more of said cockpit walls and/or a fascia (5) of the motor vehicle fixed with respect to the cockpit walls, and a steering assembly (10) housed in the cockpit (4) and comprising an outer casing (11) coupled to the cockpit walls and a steering wheel (12) having a steering wheel shaft (13) extending along a steering wheel axis (A) and coupled to the outer casing, and a control portion coupled to the steering wheel shaft, characterized by comprising a mechanism (30) to reconfigure the steering assembly (10) between a first and a second configuration, wherein the control portion (14) in the first configuration has at least one use configuration with respect to the steering wheel shaft, and wherein the control portion in the second configuration has at least one rest configuration, the control portion (14) in the rest configuration having at least one steering wheel wall arranged flush with the wall unit when the steering assembly (10) is in the second configuration, so as to appear integrated with the wall unit.
