Abstract

A steering wheel (12) for a motor vehicle (1), the steering wheel (12) having a steering wheel shaft (13) extending along a steering wheel axis (A) and configured to be coupled to an outer casing (11) in a rotatable manner about the steering wheel axis (A), a control portion (14) coupled to the steering wheel shaft (13) so as to have at least one use configuration, wherein the control portion (14) is rotatable to drive the steering wheel shaft (13) into rotation about the steering wheel axis (A), wherein the control portion (14) has, in the use configuration, a back wall (15) and a front wall (16) opposite each other according to the steering wheel axis (A), as well as a first radial end (17) according to a first direction (R), the first direction (R) being radial with respect to the steering wheel axis (A) in the use configuration, wherein the first radial end (17) is arranged between the back wall (15) and the front wall (16) according to the steering wheel axis (A) in the use configuration, characterized in that the radial end (17) has a recess (18) extending along the first direction and sandwiched between the back wall (15) and the front wall (16), so as to be exposed outside the control portion (14) in the use configuration.
