Abstract

A steering wheel (12) for a motor vehicle, the steering wheel having a steering wheel shaft (13) extending along a steering wheel axis (A) and configured to be coupled to an outer casing (11) in a rotatable manner about the steering wheel axis (A), a control portion (14) coupled to the steering wheel shaft (13) so as to have at least one use configuration, wherein the control portion (14) is rotatable to drive the steering wheel shaft (13) into rotation about the steering wheel axis (A), characterized in that the control portion (14) is hinged with respect to the steering wheel shaft (13) about a hinge axis (H) orthogonal to the steering wheel axis (A), so as to be rotatable about the hinge axis (H) with respect to the steering wheel shaft (A) between the use configuration and a rest configuration.
