Abstract
The present disclosure relates to methods of lubricating a combustion engine to achieve to improve at least one of deposits, sludge, oxidization, and wear when using a majority of API Group II base oils. The additive systems of the lubricating oil compositions include select detergent systems, select metal-containing antiwear system; and/or select antioxidant systems that surprisingly achieve performance even when including higher amounts of the API Group II base oils in the lubricants.
