Abstract
The invention refers to an electric arc blast nozzle (10) having an interior housing (12) extending along a longitudinal axis (X) and enclosing an interior space (13). The interior housing (12) is particularly configured to locate electrical contacts (24, 25) of a circuit breaker (11) therein. When used in a circuit breaker, the electric arc blast nozzle (10) can be moved together with one of the electrical contacts in longitudinal direction (L) relative to the other electrical contact. According to the invention, the interior housing (12) of the electric arc blast nozzle (10) is intimately covered by at least one outer layer (32) comprising a reinforcement layer (33). In doing so, gas-filled gaps and cavities are avoided between the at least one outer layer (32) and the interior housing (12), which reduces the risk of partial discharge.
