Abstract
Systems and methods are described for a system with circuit fault protection comprising a battery (106), an interrupting contactor (202A, 202B) electrically connected with the battery (106), and a controller (206). The interrupting contactor (202A, 202B) may be configured to electrically connect the battery (106) to an end of a load (102) in a closed state and to electrically isolate the battery (106) from the end of a load (102) in an open state. The controller (206) may, while the interrupting contactor (202A, 202B) is in a closed state, detect a fault in a circuit that includes the battery (106) and the interrupting contactor (202A, 202B). The controller (206) may further toggle the interrupting contactor (202A, 202B) to open in response to detecting the fault.
