Abstract
The invention relates to a method for generating a focus signal (25) for focusing of at least one camera (4) of an assistance system (2) of a motor vehicle (1) by an electronic computing device (6), comprising the steps of receiving a vehicle movement status signal (17), depending on the vehicle movement status signal (17) selecting a camera (4) from at least two cameras (4) of the motor vehicle (1); receiving at least one captured image (26) from the selected camera (4) of surroundings (5) of the motor vehicle (1); detecting at least one object (8) in the received image (26); determining a sharpness of that at least one object (8) in the captured image (26); and generating the focus signal (25) depending on the determined sharpness for sharpening the determined object (8). Furthermore, the present invention relates to a computer program product, a computer-readable storage medium, as well as to an electronic computing device (6).
