Abstract

A cassette (1) for use in a robotic drive system (2) for driving an elongated medical device (3), in particular a catheter, comprising a housing (4) with a guide path (5) for receiving the elongated medical device (3), at least one pair of drive rollers (61, 62) comprising a first and second drive roller (61, 62) arranged on opposite sides of the guide path (5), wherein the first and second drive roller (61, 62) form at least one driving surface (9) for engaging the elongated medical device (3) between the drive rollers (61, 62) in an operating position, characterized in that the first and second drive roller (61, 62) comprise at least one respective force transfer surface (10) through which they are movably engaged with each other in the operating position to enable force transfer from a driven drive roller (61) to the other of the drive rollers (62).
