Abstract

An absorbent (1) comprising an absorbent core (11) having a longitudinal direction, width direction, and thickness direction orthogonal to each other and including pulverized fibers is characterized in that the pulverized fibers include hardwood fibers composed of hardwood, the absorbent core (11) is provided with an oil agent (Y) that promotes diffusion of excretion, when divided into three equal parts in either the longitudinal direction or the width direction, the absorbent core (11) includes one side portion, a central portion, and another side portion in order from one side, and the basis weight of the oil agent (Y) provided in the central portion is higher than the basis weight of the oil agent provided in the one side portion.
