Abstract
A propulsion system of a boat capable of finely adjusting propulsive force of the boat is provided.A propulsion system 1 of a boat includes: a plurality of propulsion machines 3, which are provided on a hull 2; and a controller 4, which controls thrust and thrust directions of the plurality of propulsion machines 3. The controller 4 receives an instruction value of the propulsive force to be applied to the hull 2, and controls the thrust for every propulsion machine 3. The controller 4 steers the plurality of propulsion machines 3 in a direction that intersects a front-rear direction of the hull 2 in a yaw direction, based on the instruction value. As the instruction value increases, the controller 4 causes the steering angles θB of the plurality of propulsion machines 3 to become gradually parallel to the front-rear direction of the hull 2.
