Abstract

A detection device 1 has a first transmitting antenna 31 and a second transmitting antenna 32 for transmitting radio waves, and a first receiving antenna 41 and a second receiving antenna 42 for receiving reflected waves generated when the radio waves are reflected by an object. The detection device 1 is arranged in the passenger compartment 100 so that a first imaginary straight line L1 connecting the first transmitting antenna 31 and the second transmitting antenna 32 intersects with a second imaginary straight line L2 connecting the first receiving antenna 41 and the second receiving antenna 42 and at least one of the first imaginary straight line L1 and the second imaginary straight line L2 is inclined with respect to a first direction X of the passenger compartment 100 at an angle that is less than 90 degrees in a plan view of the vehicle 10. The detection device 1 uses the reflected waves to detect an in-vehicle living being H that is a detection target.
