Abstract
A secondary battery includes: an electrode assembly including: a first electrode, a second electrode, and a separator between the first electrode and the second electrode; a first horizontal portion at one end of the electrode assembly; and a second horizontal portion having a step difference relative to the first horizontal portion; a can accommodating the electrode assembly; and a first electrode tab connected to the first electrode. The second electrode is coupled to the can.
