Abstract

1. A secondary battery, comprising: a case; an electrode assembly accommodated in the case; a cap plate (300) welded to the case, the cap plate having a welded portion (300a) and a pair of terminals (400), each terminal having a polarity different from the other terminal; and a gasket (500) between the cap plate and each terminal, wherein the pair of terminals includes a first terminal portion (410) connected to the electrode assembly and a second terminal portion (420) extending from the first terminal portion, the second terminal portion being between the welded portion and the first terminal portion.
