Abstract

An energy storage system and a power source apparatus, which belong to the technical field of power sources. The energy storage system comprises: a general positive line, a general negative line and a battery module connected between the general positive line and the general negative line, and the battery module comprises M battery assemblies (11) connected in series. The energy storage system further comprises: N supporting members (12), wherein the M battery assemblies (11) are supported by means of the N supporting members (12), and the M battery assemblies (11) are insulated from the N supporting members (12). The energy storage system further comprises: a conductive path, wherein K supporting members (12) among the N supporting members (12) are connected to the conductive path by means of K branches, respectively, M, N and K are all positive integers, and M≥N≥K>1. A protective assembly (13) is arranged on the conductive path and/or the branch in series. Thus, a short-circuit current is expected to be reduced when double-point insulation of a cross-electrical-box (a supporting member) fails, and the possibility of initiating high-voltage ignition and battery combustion and explosion is reduced.
