Abstract

The disclosure is applicable to a motor driving device, and relates to a device for driving, for example, a direct current motor (DC motor), a method for controlling same, and an electronic device configured to be driven by a motor. The disclosure relates to a method for controlling initial driving of a motor comprises: checking whether a back electromotive force (BEMF) voltage is detected from the motor; checking a speed and a rotation direction of the motor to detect the BEMF voltage; determining whether the checked rotation direction of the motor is the same direction as a rotation direction by a currently input command; and driving the motor based on the determination result, wherein the driving the motor includes: a forward direction control mode based on a case in which the checked rotation direction of the motor is the same as the rotation direction by the currently input command, and a reverse direction control mode based on a case in which the checked rotation direction of the motor is opposite to the rotation direction by the currently input command.
