Abstract

A light assembly for a vehicle and a light control method are provided. The light assembly comprises: a first light module and a second light module; and a control module configured to control brightness of the first light module and the second light module, wherein the control module is further configured to control one of the first light module and the second light module to be turned on to provide low beam illumination, or control another of the first light module and the second light module to be turned on to provide high beam illumination or control both of the first light module and the second light module to be turned on to provide high beam illumination. In addition, in a high beam mode, brightness can be superimposed by turning on two light modules at the same time, which can achieve higher brightness output, and maintain illuminating function partially by one of the light modules when another of the light modules fails, thereby improving the reliability and safety of the entire light assembly.
