Abstract

A power converter includes a first switch including a first connection and a second connection, wherein the first connection of the first switch is configured to be connected to a positive voltage node; a second switch including a first connection and a second connection, wherein the first connection of the second switch is configured to be connected to a negative voltage node; and a diode including an anode and a cathode, wherein the cathode of the diode is connected to the second connection of the first switch and the anode of the diode is connected to the second connection of the second switch; wherein the second connection of the first switch is configured to be connected to a first end of a rotor winding, and the second connection of the second switch is configured to be connected to a second end of the rotor winding.
