Abstract
Provided is a method for a mobile telecommunication network for controlling access of user equipment, UE, to an external network, using a walled garden environment in a core network. The walled garden environment is configured to allow, before authentication of the UE, only at least one pre-approved service to the UE. The method includes receiving, at the core network, a connection request from the UE. The connection request further comprises authentication data of the UE. The method further includes routing the connection request into the walled garden environment. The method further includes determining, based on the authentication data, an access policy for the UE. The method further includes establishing bidirectional data communication between the UE and the external network.
