Abstract

An access point (AP) point in a wireless local area network (WLAN) may include circuitry configured to transmit, to a station (STA) in the WLAN, a beacon including a beacon payload. A first set of information elements associated with the access point may be advertised within the beacon payload. The beacon payload may include an indicator indicating that the AP is associated with a second set of information elements that is not advertised in the beacon payload. The STA may include circuitry configured to transmit, to the AP, a request for the second set of information elements. The STA may receive, from the AP and in response to the request, a response including an indication of the second set of information elements.
