Abstract

A hydroponic plant growth module (100) includes a front module side (102) facing in a forward direction (130), a frame (104) having an upper end (132) vertically spaced apart from a lower end (134), and a plant growth subassembly (158) positioned at the front module side (102). The plant growth subassembly (158) includes a plurality of vertically extending columns (106) secured to the module frame (104) and distributed in a lateral direction. Each column (106) has a front column side facing in the forward direction (130) and a plurality of growth pod ports (108) in the front column side and vertically distributed along the column (106). The plant growth subassembly (158) further includes a grow light assembly (116) positioned outwardly of the columns (106) in the forward direction (130). The grow light assembly (116) has at least one light source (118) and a light vector (120) that directs at least 75% of light emitted from the at least one light source (118) outwardly away from the columns (106) in the forward direction (130).
