A launch system comprises a receiver and fire control system. The fire control system comprises a ballistics computation module and first RF transceiver. A launch barrel has a longitudinal axis and an internal diameter configured to launch projectiles having a first caliber. A launch tube system is received within the launch barrel and includes an outer shell coaxially secured to an inner launch tube which define an annular gap receiving a flexible circuit assembly including a second RF transceiver. A barrel insert within the inner launch tube defines a launch bore having a second internal diameter corresponding to a second caliber. The first RF transceiver transmits a first RF signal for programming a programmable munition having the second caliber. The second transceiver receives the first RF signal via the second RF transceiver and transmits a second RF signal for programing the munition when received within the launch tube system. |

An apparatus for providing electrical power to and communicating data and/or control signals to a helmet accessory device includes a control module (20) attachable to the helmet (100) and including a processor, power supply interface, and one or more control module connectors (32). One or more helmet side rail assemblies (104) have a plurality of interface slots (18). At least one insert includes a connector element and is adapted for operative coupling with the helmet accessory device. The processor includes a communication interface for exchanging data and/or control signals with the helmet accessory device via the insert connector element. At least one cable (34) comprises a first connector end adapted to couple a control module connector and a second connector end configured to couple to the insert connector element. Each of the one or more helmet side rail assemblies has an internal space configured for routing at least a portion of the cable. |

Zusammenfassung
The present invention relates to the use of grinding aids comprising Aluminum sulfate, Alum, and/or Na salt, K salt, or Li salt of a hydroxycarboxylic acid, wherein the hydroxycarboxylic acid comprises citric, lactic, glycolic, tartaric, acetic, or malic acid, for producing Ground Activated Cementitious Precursor Material (GACPM) by co-grinding with granulated slag, such as a steel industry waste, Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GBFS), and the products provided therefrom. The use of the one or more grinding aids reduces the grinding time by about 10-33%, improves particle fineness by about 10-33%, and/or reduces carbon emissions (CO<2>) associated with such processes by about 10-33%,, thereby significantly enhancing efficiency. Additionally, it improves particle morphology and activates amorphous glass particles in the GACPM (compared to conventional Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GGBFS), increasing their reactivity with alkali activators in geopolymer cements or with calcium hydroxide when used with Portland cement applications. This activation, due to use of GACPM instead of GGBFS, leads to compressive strength gains of about 5-33% in activated geopolymer cement mortar/grout/concrete and about 5-33% in Portland GACPM cement blends, all while significantly reducing energy usage, costs, and carbon emissions. |

Zusammenfassung
Optical elements that efficiently propagate x-ray radiation over a desired energy range and reject radiation outside the desired energy range are presented herein. In one aspect, one or more optical elements of an x-ray based system include an integrated optical filter including one or more material layers that absorb radiation having energy outside the desired energy band. In general, the integrated filter improves the optical performance of an x-ray based system by suppressing reflectivity within infrared (IR), visible (vis), ultraviolet (UV), extreme ultraviolet (EUV) portions of the spectrum, or any other undesired wavelength region. In a further aspect, one or more diffusion barrier layers prevent degradation of the integrated optical filter, prevent diffusion between the integrated optical filter and other material layers, or both. In some embodiments, the thickness of one or more material layers of an integrated optical filter vary over the spatial area of the filter. |

Zusammenfassung
Systems and methods for reducing the data volume downlinked from a spacecraft to a ground station are disclosed. A processing system onboard the spacecraft captures image data from one or more imaging sensors and forms an image stack of spectral bands that is partitioned into tile stacks corresponding to common spatial regions. A trained artificial intelligence model performs inference on each tile stack to generate a quantitative tile stack score indicative of predicted usefulness for one or more mission objectives. Based on the tile stack scores, the processing system selects for each tile stack a lossless compression action, a lossy compression action, or a discarding action, compresses tile stacks according to the selected actions, assembles compressed tile data into a compressed image data file, and transmits the compressed image data file to the ground station over a downlink communication channel. |
