Abstract

An aerosol-generating segment 100 for a heat-not-burn consumable 70, an aerosol forming material 6, comprising a substrate and an aerosol former; and a wrapper 140 circumscribing the aerosol forming material 6; wherein the aerosol forming material 6 comprises a high concentration region of liquid aerosol former 150 and a low concentration region of liquid aerosol former, wherein the high concentration region 150 is located adjacent to a portion of the interface between the aerosol forming material 6 and wrapper 140; a heat-not-burn consumable 70 comprising such an aerosol-generating segment 100; an aerosol-generating system comprising a heat-not-burn consumable 70 and an aerosol-generating apparatus 1, the aerosol-generating apparatus 1 comprising an aerosol generating unit 4; and a method of manufacturing such an aerosol-generating segment 100.
