Abstract

The subject of the application is a method of manufacturing a continuous rod (CR) of the tobacco industry containing, in its interior, longitudinal objects (1) placed along the entire length of the continuous rod (CR), in which the longitudinal objects (1) are arranged on the circumference of a feeding wheel (10). The method according to the invention is characterized in that longitudinal objects (1) are fed from the feeding wheel (10) onto a toothless inserting wheel (20) having a polygonal outline, on the toothless inserting wheel (20) a gapless sequence (15) of longitudinal objects (1) is formed, the objects contacting each other face-to-face at least at one point, the gapless sequence (15) of longitudinal objects (1) is introduced into the filling material (4) so that the gapless sequence (15) of longitudinal objects (1) contacts the filling material (4) and the filling material (4) is wrapped with a wrapper (6) to form a continuous rod (CR) of the filling material (4), containing longitudinal objects (1) contacting each other face-to-face, along the entire length of the continuous rod (CR). The subject of the application is also an apparatus (30) for manufacturing a continuous rod (CR) of the tobacco industry.
