Abstract

The present application applies to the technical field of automation. Provided is a labeling machine (100), comprising: a label supply mechanism (10), a positioning mechanism (20) and a robot (30). The robot (30) comprises a manipulator (31) and a suction gripper (32) arranged on the manipulator (31), wherein the suction gripper (32) is provided with a plurality of suction areas (32211), suction holes (32212) being formed in the suction areas (32211) of the suction gripper (32), and a plurality of mutually isolated cavities (32214) are provided inside the suction gripper (32), the cavities (32214) being arranged corresponding to the suction areas (32211) on a one-to-one basis; the manipulator (31) is configured to move the suction gripper (32) to the label supply mechanism (10), such that at least one suction area (32211) picks up a label by suction; and the manipulator (31) is further configured to move the suction gripper (32) to an object on the positioning mechanism (20) waiting to be labeled, such that the suction gripper (32) attaches the label to said object. Further provided in the present application is a labeling method. The labeling machine and the labeling method provided in the embodiments of the present application can be compatible with labels of different sizes, thereby reducing costs and improving efficiency.
