Abstract

The present disclosure relates to fire resistant aqueous coating compositions. In particular, the present disclosure relates to fire resistant aqueous coating compositions comprising:(a) a first binder comprising a polymer formed from monomers including vinyl chloride, ethylene and vinyl ester;(b) a second binder;(c) a fire resistant extender in an amount of less than 30 dry wt%;(d) a liquid carrier comprising water;wherein dry wt% is the amount of a component based on the dry weight of the component relative to the total dry weight of the coating composition.
