Abstract
The present invention relates to a CAND1 inhibiting agent for use in the treatment of hepatoblastoma or hepatocellular carcinoma. Furthermore the invention relates to a method for the diagnosis of hepatoblastoma or hepatocellular carcinoma in a subject and to a method for determining the prognosis of a hepatoblastoma or hepatocellular carcinoma in a subject. A final aspect of the current invention is concerned with a method to determine the predisposition of a subject to developing hepatoblastoma or hepatocellular carcinoma.
