Abstract

The invention relates to a door latch (1), particularly for a motor vehicle, comprising a first part (1A) including a housing (3), a retention unit configured for engaging with a striker in a closed position and releasing the striker in an opened position and an electrical actuation group configured to drive the retention unit to its opened position, the retention unit and the electrical actuation group being arranged at least partially within the housing (3).The door latch (1) further comprises a second removable part (1B), configured to be assembled to the first part (1A) and comprising an electronic control circuit (7), the electronic control circuit (7) being configured to control the retention unit and/or the electrical actuation group for opening or closing the door latch (1), such that the door latch (1) becomes an electrical latch.
