Abstract
The disclosure describes systems and methods for periodic monitoring of network latency. A client device can receive, from each node of a plurality of nodes between the client device and a device providing access to an internet service provider, a packet identifier and a timestamp for each data packet selected by each node. The client device can identify, for each packet identifier received, a second timestamp of receipt by the client device of each data packet corresponding to each packet identifier. The client device can determine, based at least on timestamps associated with one or more packet identifiers received from each corresponding node and second timestamps for the packet identifiers, a respective latency between the client device and the corresponding node.
