Abstract

A system comprises a helmet power and communication hub having a first wireless communication interface (e.g., high band width, ultra wide band (UWB), or 5G communication interface) and a plurality of helmet mounted accessory devices. Each helmet mounted accessory device has a respective wireless communication interface (e.g., high band width, ultra wide band (UWB), or 5G communication interface). The helmet power and communication hub is configured to receive a power supply, wherein the power supply is configured to provide power to each of the plurality of helmet mounted accessory devices when the plurality of helmet mounted accessory devices are operatively coupled to the helmet power and communication hub. The helmet power and communication hub and the plurality of helmet mounted accessory devices are configured to communicate with each other through a mesh network.
