Abstract

A method for fabricating an analysis device is provided. The analysis device comprises a capillary tube and hydrogel elements on an inner surface of the capillary tube. The hydrogel elements comprise a hydrogel and a binding agent for immobilizing an analyte from a fluid. The method comprises providing parallel flows of fluids in the capillary tube. The parallel flows of fluids comprise a first flow of a first fluid on the inner surface of the capillary tube. The first fluid comprises a hydrogel precursor and the binding agent. The method further comprises stopping the parallel flows of fluids in the capillary tube. The method also comprises providing, through a lithographic mask, blue or UV light in the capillary tube to photopolymerize at least a portion of the hydrogel precursor comprised in the first fluid, thereby forming, on the inner surface of the capillary tube, the hydrogel elements comprising the hydrogel and the binding agent.
