Abstract

An autonomous ground delivery robot (2), comprising a torso (20) with integrated electronics (202), at least four individual and independently controllable wheeled legs (21), each comprising a hip joint (210), an upper leg (211), a knee joint (212), a lower leg (213), and a wheel (214) with associated motor (2140) and a container (201) for storing parcels (4), should leads to improved fully automated unloading. To reach that, the container (201) is attached to the torso (20) or integrated therein, at the side facing away from the wheeled legs (21), comprising a container flap (2010) facing the front side of the torso (20) and closing a storage space, wherein the container flap (2010) is movably attached to the container (201), is remotely openable by a locking mechanism arranged in the container (201), wherein the locking mechanism is controlled by a control unit which is connected to the electronics (202).
