Abstract

There is provided a liquid container in which liquid is less likely to leak from the liquid supply port before a connection operation between the liquid container and the tank, and the connection between the liquid container and the tank is less likely to be released during the connection operation between the liquid container and the tank.A liquid container 80 includes a body, a valve 161, a liquid supply port 96A, an elastic member 165, and a switching mechanism 145. The body defines a storage chamber 147. The valve 161 is movable between a closed position and an open position. The liquid supply port 96A provides communication between the storage chamber 147 and an outside of the storage chamber 147 in a movement direction in which the valve 161 moves. The liquid supply port 96A is closed when the valve 161 is at the closed position. The liquid supply port 96A is open when the valve 161 is at the open position. The elastic member 165 urges the valve 161 to the closed position. The switching mechanism 145 is configured to switch urging force with which the elastic member 165 urges the valve 161 between a first urging force and a second urging force. The second urging force is smaller than the first urging force.
