Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a sink. The sink comprises a washbasin and a wastewater drain arranged under the washbasin. The wastewater drain comprises a substantially horizontal exhaust pipe and a housing for receiving liquid and for accommodating an odor trap. The odor trap comprises a trap pot and a trap bell. The trap pot comprises an upwardly open and substantially annular groove configured for receiving the liquid and for forming a reservoir for a liquid seal. The trap bell comprises a downwardly open bell that comprises an upper surface, and a radial wall extending vertically downwards from the upper surface. The radial wall of the trap bell extend in the annular groove of the odor trap. The sink is configured such that it induces swirling movement to the liquid flowing through at least a portion of the wastewater drain. The present disclosure also relates to a method for cleaning a sink.
