Abstract

A cable connecting device (20) connects a first cable (11) extending from am operator and a second cable (11) extending from an operation target. The cable connecting device includes a pair of joint caps (21, 31) attached to outer tubes of the first and second cables, a joint slider (41) on which inner wires of the first and second cables are hooked, and a joint case (45) with the pair of joint caps attached to both ends and the joint slider accommodated inside. Each joint cap includes a plurality of cap parts (22, 32), and parting surfaces of the plurality of cap parts are in contact with each other so as to be separable from each other. The joint caps fit into both ends of the joint case, thereby maintaining integrity of the plurality of cap parts.
