Abstract

An optic (200) according to a first and/or second implementation is provided as well as a luminaire (1) comprising the respective optic (200). The optic hereby comprises a number of lens elements, wherein each lens element (210) is assigned to a respective light source (110) of the luminaire (1), wherein each lens element (210) comprises a light coupling surface (211) at its base surface (212) for irradiation of light from the respective light source (101); and a connecting element (220, 220a), that is arranged in-between two of the at least two lens elements (210) connecting the respective two lens elements (210). The connecting element may hereby be configured for light decoupling, and/or the spatial light distribution characteristic of a respective group of the lens elements (210, 210b) is different from other lens elements, pointing away from respective distal edges (240) of the optic (200).
