Abstract

A plenum (10) for air distribution for controlled mechanical ventilation systems, having a box-like structure, suitable for connection to a double-flow controlled mechanical ventilation unit, provides a substantially horizontal shelf section (11) and a vertical section (12) extending above from the shelf section (11), wherein the shelf section (11) and the vertical section (12) form a support and fixing seat for the ventilation unit; the shelf section (11) has at least two horizontal internal chambers and at least two connecting holes (14), each of which connects a respective horizontal internal chamber with the outside of the shelf section (11) and is suitable for connection to the ventilation unit; the vertical section (12) has at least two vertical internal chambers, each of which is in communication with one respective of the horizontal internal chambers, wherein the vertical section (12) has a plurality of holes (25) for connecting the vertical chambers with the internal environment; the horizontal chambers and the vertical chambers are intended to receive the exhaust air flow and the intake air flow generated by the ventilation unit according to two separate paths, each consisting of a horizontal chamber and a vertical chamber communicating with each other. This creates a plenum that simplifies the production, storage, distribution and installation of ventilation units and makes the system compact.
