Abstract

Analog systems and methods for hardware acceleration in large language model audio processing for tasks such as real-time translation, voice assistants and audio analysis are provided. The systems and methods include a core processing unit comprising a plurality of neurons, each neuron comprising at least one synapse, each synapse comprising a programmable charge-trapped transistor for storing synaptic weight and a local activation memory. A local activation router operably coupled to the core processing unit and the local activation memory is configured to route input activations to one or more synapses. The described systems and methods keep user data private by performing LLM inference on the edge device itself, without relying on the cloud.
