Abstract

The present application provides a cathode sheet and a lithium-ion battery utilizing the same. The cathode sheet comprises a current collector and a cathode active coating layer comprising a cathode active material. The cathode active material comprises at least three of a particle N1, a particle N2, a particle N3, a particle N4, and a particle N5, where the particle N1 is the cathode active material with a particle size of less than or equal to 100 nm, the particle N2 is the cathode active material with a particle size of 100-150 nm, the particle N3 is the cathode active material with a particle size of 150-250 nm, the particle N4 is the cathode active material with a particle size of 250-500 nm, and the particle N5 is the cathode active material with a particle size of more than 500 nm. In the cathode active material, according to the mass fraction, a proportion of the particle N1 is X1, a proportion of the particle N2 is X2, a proportion of the particle N3 is X3, a proportion of the particle N4 is X4, and a proportion of the particle N5 is X5; the X1, the X2, the X3, the X4, and the X5 are subjected to power-normalization treatment to obtain a normalization function, where the R<2> corresponding to the normalization function is R<2> ≥ 0.9. The cathode sheet has both high compaction density and excellent lithium ion transport performance.
