Abstract

A wire pushing tool (1) for conveying a cable (5) along a conveying path is provided. The tool comprises a drivetrain enclosure (10), a plurality of rollers (20) configured to engage and convey the cable (5), and a plurality of driven wheels (21, 22) associated with the rollers (20). Each driven wheel is rotationally fixed to a corresponding roller or formed integrally therewith. A drive gear (24) driven by a motor (4) meshes with at least one first driven wheel (21), and a secondary gear (25) meshes with the drive gear (24) and drives at least one second driven wheel (22), such that the rollers are synchronously driven. A biasing mechanism (26), preferably comprising at least one spring, urges one or more driven wheels toward the cable (5), allowing automatic adjustment of the spacing between rollers (20) to accommodate different cable diameters without manual intervention. The movable driven wheel may be guided in a slot to ensure reliable engagement.
