Abstract
The present disclosure relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating sepsis comprising an odorant receptor Olfr164 modulator as an active ingredient, and by synthesizing a derivative that modulates the odorant receptor Olfr164 and confirming the activity of the derivative in cell lines stably expressing the target odorant receptor Olfr164 and in a sepsis animal model, the potential for use as a therapeutic agent for sepsis is demonstrated.
