Abstract

Medical fluid flow devices are provided with a reusable control portion that includes a chassis, a fluid flow controller coupled to the chassis, a fluid flow valve coupled to the fluid flow controller, an actuator coupled to the chassis and a housing cover coupled to the chassis. A disposable fluid output portion includes a housing, an internal fluid pathway, a fluid input port, a fluid output port fluidly coupled to the fluid pathway, a fluid reservoir disposed within the housing and fluidly coupled to the fluid pathway, a plunger moveably disposed within the fluid reservoir and a valve cavity disposed into the housing. When the disposable fluid output portion is coupled to the reusable control portion, the fluid flow valve is disposed within the valve cavity and the plunger is disposed within the fluid reservoir. Fluid flow sets and methods of operating medical fluid flow devices are also provided.
