Abstract

A roof assembly (30, 30', 30") for a railway vehicle comprising a roof member (32, 33), acroteria (32a, 32b; 32a', 32b', 32a", 32b") and connecting elements (34a, 34b; 34a', 34b'; 34a", 34b") arranged to support both the roof member (32, 33) and the acroteria (32a, 32b; 32a', 32b', 32a", 32b"), each connecting element (34a, 34b; 34a', 34b'; 34a", 34b") being a single component, the roof assembly (30, 30', 30") further comprising a base platform (38) and each connecting element (34a, 34b; 34a', 34b'; 34a", 34b") being arranged to be fixed to a respective supporting part (38a, 38a') which represents a side end portion of said base platform (38).
