Abstract

A document conveying device (120) comprises a document feed tray (44), a pickup roller (51), a conveying guide (61G) and a projection portion (91). On the document feed tray, a document (G) is stacked. The pickup roller picks up the document stacked on the document feed tray in a predetermined conveyance direction (Z). The conveying guide is provided at a downstream side of the pickup roller in the conveyance direction and faces to a recording surface of the document. The projection portion has a shape projected from the conveying guide and contacts a part of the recording surface of the small-sized document including both ends of a width direction (W) intersecting the conveyance direction (Z).
