Abstract

The disclosure relates to a material handling vehicle (200), MHV, comprising: a housing (210), a load carrier, preferably comprising a pair of forks (220), a mast (230), a control unit (260), a pair of support legs (270), each support leg comprising a support wheel (280), a drive wheel (290), wherein the mast (230) is movable horizontally in the direction of the support legs (270) between a fully retracted position and a fully extended position, characterized in that the control unit (260) is configured to determine a position of the mast (230) between the fully retracted position and the fully extended position based on the MVH meeting a predetermined lateral stability criterion when the position of the mast (230) is positioned at the determined position between the fully retracted position and the fully extended position. The disclosure further relates to a method and computer implementations of the method for controlling the disclosed MHV.
