Abstract

The present invention is directed to an improved material handling vehicle (10) comprising an on-board computer (22) configured to control the height of the forks (40) of the material handling vehicle (10) based on the travel speed of the material handling vehicle (10). The present invention further comprises a safety method performed in an on-board computer (22) of a material handling vehicle (10), wherein the safety method comprises steps that regulates the height of the forks (40) of a material handling vehicle (10) based on the travel speed of the material handling vehicle (10). The present invention also comprises a computer program that, when executed, performs the steps of the safety method.
