Abstract
A system for analyzing a source code of an industrial control program comprises a memory unit for providing at least a portion of the source code of the industrial control program, wherein the portion comprises at least a first plurality of input variables and at least a second plurality of output variables. The system further comprises an analysis unit for determining, for at least one output variable among the second plurality of output variables, which of the input variables among the first plurality of input variables affects the output variable; and/or for determining, for at least one input variable among the first plurality of input variables, which of the output variables among the second plurality of output variables is affected by the input variable.
