Abstract

This present invention relates to the field of automated vending, particularly to a retail system and method. The retail system comprises a plurality of service robots (01), a plurality of storage units, and a scheduling unit. The storage units comprise station storage units (02) and mobile storage units (03). The station storage units (02) are arranged at predetermined locations, while the mobile storage units (03) are disposed inside the service robots (01). The scheduling unit is further configured to, in response to an order request from a user, select a target service robot from the plurality of service robots (01) based on the delivery location corresponding to the order request and the item to be delivered, and control the target service robot to deliver the item to the delivery location. The scheduling unit is also configured to instruct the service robot (01) to retrieve items from the station storage unit (02) and store them in the mobile storage unit (03) of the service robot (01). This system achieves a balanced optimization among product variety, lightweight inventory, and efficient delivery response under limited storage capacity, thereby enhancing the response speed and service quality of unmanned retail.
