Abstract
Methods and systems are provided for determining and confirming the identity of a purported recipient of a parcel delivered to a parcel locker. The parcel locker compares identity information on the purported recipient's ID to identity information obtained from a carrier, such as via an external API. If the identity information does not exactly match, the parcel locker confirms identity using text comparison techniques to make sure that the purported recipient is the intended recipient of the parcel delivered to the parcel locker.
