Abstract
A sales method for a store that places items on an item shelf to sell the items includes: detecting that a customer picks up an item from the item shelf, by using an item detection sensor; and performing, when a pickup of the item is detected by the item detection sensor, a notification of information indicating that the pickup of the item has been detected, by using a notification device provided on the item shelf.
